British Pie Week, we're celebrating with a our new pie dish range
It’s British Pie Week and what better excuse for the sheer joy of a filled pastry case?
And what better timing for the launch of our new pie dishes?
Our full range of 8, 10 and 12 inch pie dishes.
We were inspired by Queen of Pies, Annie Rigg, author of the glorious Pies and Tarts, published by Quadrille Publishing to create the first of our pie dishes and it has been so popular that we have added a smaller one and a bigger one to suit each and every pie appetite.
“The radio’s on, the next hour is clear; and the kitchen is tidy.” This is the opening sentence of Annie’s book and even if your kitchen, like ours, is rarely tidy (although the radio is always on), then there is always an excuse for a pie. As the opening paragraph concludes ….”there’s something uniquely soothing about making a pie.
And even if you are daunted by the prospect of pastry making, you can still make a great pie. British Pie Week was started back in 2007 by Jus-Rol, and whilst we love a pastry making session, we can happily vouch for their all butter ready made pastry packs for those intimidated by the idea of “rubbing in”.
The pie dishes are perfect for sweet and savoury pies, as well as tarts, flans, quiches – call them what you like. The full range is available here
