The Times : Netherton Foundry Dutch oven is “ a casserole we’d queue for”
After news broke of hours’ long lines of hopefuls waiting to buy discounted products, on 13/11/24 The Times’ Katrina Burroughs dismissed a well known brand of cast iron cookware as “officially passé. These pots are no longer hot.”
So what does she regard as both hot and cool in the casserole world. Amongst the cool kids, she lists the “thoroughly pleasing rustic vibe of the works of the Shropshire-based maker beloved by British chefs, including Nigel Slater and Nigella Lawson , and plenty of people whose names do not start with Nige — for instance, Angela Hartnett , Gareth Ward and Jackson Boxer.
