Shropshire made, Copper Spatula.

Our copper spatula, also known as a flipper, turner or fish slice is the ideal tool for lifting and turning foods such as steaks, fish, eggs and pancakes.

A wide blade makes it ideal for sliding under the food to turn it over or for removing it from the pan in one piece; no flaking fish or broken egg yolks.

Hand-made and assembled with solid copper rivets.
A thin, slightly flexible copper blade with a ground front edge perforated with ¼" ( 5mm ) holes .
Comfortable  inch (3mm) thick black iron handle.
The durable 99.1% pure iron handle is pre-seasoned with organic flax oil for an easy clean finish.
Highlighted with a Netherton brand brass rivet.

Dimensions:

Weight 0.2 kg  (7 oz)
Blade width 7.5 cm (3'')
Total length of blade and handle 35 cm (13 ¾'')

Cleaning

After use, wipe clean with warm soapy water, rinse and dry thoroughly. Never put your copper utensils in the dishwasher. Store in a dry airy place.
If a greenish patina develops on the copper surface, polish using a copper cleaner and a soft cloth, then rinse with water and dry thoroughly.
The handle is made from black iron & will need thoroughly drying after use or it will rust. We suggest coating the handle with a thin wipe of olive oil or bees wax to prevent rusting.

Why choose a copper utensil?

Designed for use with all our iron cookware.  Not to be used on the tin-lined copper cookware, for these we recommend using wooden tools.
No chemicals or PTFE are used on our copper utensils.
Many kitchen utensils are made from plastic, when these wear they release microplastics into your food and our enviroment.
Netherton Foundry does not use any plastics in these utensils or packaging.
