Netherton pans and DJBBQ star on ITV's Good Morning
We were thrilled when we heard that Christian Stevenson, aka DJ BBQ, was scheduled to appear on ITV's Good Morning, showing off his BBQ skills......especially when we learned that he was taking his favourite Netherton pans with him. He has had a varied and highly successful career, but is currently showing us Brits that there is more to the BBQ than charred sausages. Rocking up at festivals all over the country, presenting on Jamie Oliver's food Tube and with a background in radio, Christian both entertains and informs.
As you can tell we love him, and what's more he loves us, or at least our pans!! OK, so the Halloumi burger and piri piri chicken had us drooling, but to our eyes, the stars of the show were the Netherton pans that he used throughout the feature. Constantly centre stage and star of the show, the 8" prospector pan, referred to by Rylan Clark Neal as Chrisitan's cauldron, was practically demanding its own agent by the end of the piece. DJBBQ happily filled it up with all the ingredients to create his own take on piri piri sauce and then, as if by magic, produced the co-starring front handled 12" frying pan, filled with a batch of sauce, which, in true Blue Peter fashion, he had made earlier.
The food, to use DJBBQ's own expression was radical - RAD - as well as exciting and appetising. Great food relies on gthe quality of the ingredients, the skill of the chef and good cookware. This certainly demonstrated the versatility of the Netherton pans, which are equally at home indoors and outdoors. We know the British BBQ season can be brief, so it makes sense to invest in pans you can use all year round, whatever the weather and however you plan to cook.
Keep watching for more guest appearances from the pans, we'll let you know about more exciting news as it breaks and get along to catch DJBBQ next time he's at a festival near you.
