Think pink, think prospector pan!
This is not a phrase that regularly crops up when discussing our black iron cookware and we certainly don’t go in for “this season’s colour changes”. The Netherton palette comprises black and copper year in, year out. So “think pink” is not a phrase that readily springs to mind where our pots and pans are concerned.
In last weekend’s (9th March) Daily Telegraph Interiors section, Jessica Doyle showed us interior designer Sarah Brown’s delightful pink kitchen. The gentle tones of softer pinks work really well in a kitchen, replacing the myriad shades of beige, grey and off whites that have long dominated the world of interiors. As Jessica points out a soft, muted pink - we are not talking Barbie here – is almost a neutral and Dulux describe their colour of the year, Sweet Embrace, as a “soft pale pink that offers comfort and assurance during uncertain times.” We could all do with that!
But too much pink, like too much sugar is not good for you, so a perfectly placed black Netherton prospector pan, atop the Lacanche cooker strikes a welcome contrast.
