Fresh air and friends - reconnecting post lockdown
Lengthening days, rising temperatures, summer’s coming, and as the BBC reminds us “the future’s not cancelled”.
So let’s look forward to getting back together again as the restrictions are gradually eased; from a couple of friends on the beach to a family gathering in the back garden, here’s what we’ve got in mind.
Getting together with friends and family in the back garden
Use our giant fire table and split chapa for keeping the fire hot, the beer cold and the food flowing……….. catering for four, or maybe more! We can think of no better way to entertain at home.
Even in a small garden you can still cook up a storm.
The smaller chapas offer the opportunity for al fresco eating from brunch to supper. The solid plates are ideal for pancakes and eggs, whilst the barbeque plates create the much loved smokiness of a charcoal fire.
If you haven’t got space for a fire pit, add a fire table to protect the patio or the lawn.
Here’s the kind of picnic we all want go on: hot dogs all round! Don’t forget the ketchup or the mustard when you are packing a glamping pan, the sausages and a charcoal fuelled outdoor hob.

Sea air always makes us hungry and we can’t wait to get back to the beach.
We are simply longing to be back at the seaside and not just for the ice creams.
It seems a very long time since we headed out to Lyme Regis with photographer Neil White and chef, writer and goat meat purveyor James Whetlor to share a fabulous beach barbecue, but it’s high on the list of post lockdown activities.
And we have so missed the hills, the crags and the mountains.
We will be packing our glamping pan to take climbing with us too. A bacon butty is the perfect way to boost the protein intake after a hard ascent.
Fresh air, friends and good food is one the best combinations we can think of for boosting your mood and lifting your spirits.
What are you most looking forward to when life returns to something like we remember it used to be?
