The Observer: Joe Trivelli cooks hearty Italian pasta in Prospector Pan
One of the highlights of a Netherton Sunday is the mug of coffee and Sunday papers interlude, when biscuit crumbs and supplements are scattered across the kitchen table and only Radio 4 interrupts us. Invariably the first page we turn to is Nigel Slater's feature in the Observer, always a joy.
But when Nigel takes a break we are rarely left bereft, as the Observer will treat us to guest writers.
One of our favourites, Joe Trivelli of The River Cafe is currently holding the fort with style and panache.
A couple of Sundays ago he shared recipes for delicious, hearty, Italian canteen inspired recipes - casarecce with langoustines, yes please - and we were once again stunned by Romas Foord brilliant photo of the food in a prospector pan.
