Congratulations to all the winners, across the UK and keep up the good work supporting SLOW FOOD UK
Earlier this year, Netherton Foundry joined Slow Food in the UK (more info here) and last weekend we joined a number of local members at the historic Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings in Shrewsbury for the Slow Food Ludlow Marches Christmas Fiesta.
And it was fantastic to see that three of our fellow attendees, Steve The Hungry Guy , Will of Shropshire Salumi and Peter Cooks Bread have been named winners in the categories Cook of the Year, Producer of the Year and Food Product of the Year respectively, in the Slow Food awards for England, with Will and Peter going on to win the overall UK awards too. Congratulations to all the award winners, including our wonderful Ludlow stockist, Broad Bean, who deservedly won English Retailer of the Year. Halen Môn Sea Salt, who also stock a range of Netherton Foundry products won Welsh Food Product of the Year. We send a very special shout out to all of you.
Congratulations to all the winners, across the UK and keep up the good work supporting Slow Food UK, part of a global grassroots movement seeking to promote a better way to eat, celebrating the rich food traditions of the different nations that make up the UK, and protecting our edible biodiversity.
