Santiago Lastra, chef patron of exciting new Mexican restaurant, KOL, in the heart of Marylebone, London

Santiago has worked to combine "the finest expressions of British ingredients to create dishes that reflect the bright, fresh flavours of Mexico"  His cooking is "anchored in an understanding of using simple flavours in bold combinations"
He and his brother, Eduardo have also worked to source the very best kitchenware, tableware, napery and glassware for the kitchen.
This is what brought them to us, when they wanted to source a restaurant quality tortilla press that would stand up to daily use.  Combining their expertise with ours, together we have created the KOL tortilla press, for you to use at home.
With two black iron plates, a black iron handles and hand made British oak handles, this press combines the joy of home made Mexican tortillas with the beauty of British craftsmanship.
Put a piece of parchment paper on the bottom plate of the open press and sit your ball of tortilla dough in the centre.  Cover with another piece of parchment paper and bring down the top plate using the handle.  Press down firmly to make a thin, round tortilla.
