It's 25 this year and gearing up for a truly memorable Festival. Head to the Welsh Borders over the weekend of 16 & 17 September and be part of the celebrations.

A downright delicious town to visit at any time of year, Abergavenny’s cast-iron foodie credentials mean it throws one of the UK’s most star-studded food festivals. Guest performers stage more than 20 events daily, which are available to those with “stroller” tickets (adults £13.50, children are free). Watch chefs work their magic with some Pembrokeshire lamb on the fire stage, join a debate about food shortages or watch shows on the kitchen stage from the likes of James Sommerin, Angela Hartnett and Neil Borthwick. There’s a chance to meet food writers in the town library and there are six markets to browse in different locations, including a new producers market.
