Ryan Riley's LIFE KITCHEN featured on BBC's Inside Out programme.

Food writer Ryan Riley founded Life Kitchen, a charitable initiative in memory of his mother, Krista, who, at just 47, lost her battle against small-cell lung cancer in 2014. About 80% of people undergoing chemotherapy find that the treatment robs them of their ability to taste. This not only makes food unpalatable for them, it takes away one of the pleasures of life. That was Ryan's mum’s experience, and it’s why he's set out on this journey to help other people living with cancer.
This film was made in Autumn 2018 at Seasoned Cookery School for the BBC Inside Out programme and was screened in the East and West Midlands and describes a day in the life of Ryan and the Life Kitchen.
Watch closely and you will spot the Life Kitchen spatula featured in the film. This was designed for Life Kitchen by us and every time you buy one from our website, we make a donation to Life Kitchen.
What strikes us most about this film, apart from the delicious food, is that the room is full of smiles. These people are all affected by the impact of cancer and cancer treatments, but the room was filled with joy and laughter and camaraderie.
