Don't have a dead parrot sketch at home

The Monty Python team tell us that they'll never perform live again, but their dead parrot sketch will certainly live on. This has particular resonance for our American friend Stacey, animal lover and proud parrot owner.
( follow her on  @Leistunghund )

She has highlighted to us the reported dangers to birds from the fumes generated by heating up non-stick pan coatings such as PTFE. Whilst Netherton Foundry can not verify this (as we don't use PTFE), there is an awful lot about it on the internet, ranging from the somewhat dramatic "Frying pan killed My Parrot"  reminiscent of the famous "Freddy Starr ate my hamster" headline, to the official word from Dupont, producers of Teflon coating.

Our pans are made from 99.1% pure iron and are coated in all natural flax oil - it's not tested on (or dangerous to) animals and Stacey reckons it's the perfect cookware for bird owners, in fact she thinks it's just perfect full stop.

Parrots, parakeets, budgies and all their relatives, as well as all the other beautiful birds we keep as pets and companions are too precious to sacrifice for the sake of a fried egg sandwich, so be a responsible pet owner and use a pet safe pan.

Of course, we cannot guarantee that Polly will survive if you drop a pan on her!
